Liberty Ridge

WHAT IS LIBERTY RIDGE?

Liberty Ridge is a plan, a promise, and a place to help the needs of people with FASD and also the parents that care for them.
FASD stands for “Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders” that can be different kinds of brain damages caused by being exposed to Alcohol before birth.

Most people with FASD have a hard time living independently and safely in the community. Some people say it’s impossible and don’t want us to even try. That’s why this is not just a plan—it’s a movement!

WHY SHOULD WE BUILD IT?

So people with FASD can find their way to independence and safety. Also to help themselves find jobs, health care, recreation, and relationships -- everything it takes to have good life. Liberty Ridge will have lots of supports when they are needed.

WHY AM I TALKING ABOUT THIS?

I have a need in life to build a future for the families and the ones with FASD, The older ones, my friends, and the younger ones to come. We are going to need a lot of help from people like you to make this happen.

WHAT SHOULD OR CAN WE DO TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN?

We have to do a lot of planning, find a lot of support and money, develop programs, and sign up people to live and work there. Most of all we need people like you to understand.

Thank you for your answer to my question. What kind of place would you hope Liberty Ridge would be. Are you thinking a building or a community movement?
